Title:
Ubuntu 12.04 fails to boot after kernel update on T400
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Hi,
I just performed a > 150 MB upgrade to 3.2.0.27 with my Thinkpad T400
and after reboot Ubuntu stopped working: I do get the grub screen but
after choosing "Ubuntu, with Linux 3.2.0-27-generic" a black screen
with blinking cursor appears and stays. After that, I can only
shutdown the system with the power button. I have a second OS to
choose from in grub which is Windows Vista but booting fails as well.
Please, any help is greatly appreciated. (Wished I had not done the
last backup a week ago...)
WORKAROUND: acpi=off mode
