  laptop not going to suspend when lid is closed

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  suspend on closing the lid used to work fine in previous Ubuntu 10.10
  Maverick on the same hardware (actually I have a second partition with
  Maverick still intalled there and everithing is still working fine if
  I boot from there)

  additional info: the suspend function works properly when invoked
  either via menu or via command line (pm-suspend)
