When System Testing from Ubuntu 11.10 32-bit LiveCD is running on hp
EliteBook 8540w and the suspend/resume test is first executed it
crashes.

System went to suspend. The system was running from Live CD and the CD was ejected just before the system entered the suspended state. I doubt whether this is acceptable when running from Live CD.
The system come back to resume after about 40 seconds but the screen remained blank. The NumLock key worked and the feedback LED for NumLock was responding.
