Resume from suspend fails on HP DV7 laptop
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Binary package hint: pm-utils
When lid closed or suspend initiated from menu and attempting to resume the laptop by using the power key or opening the lid.
Result: screen stays turned off but computer powers up OR sometimes screen looks like a dead TV channel but the pixels are all different colors. The computer also becomes completely unresponsive and requires a hard-restart (hold power button for 10sec to reboot).
