Title:
Lenovo T420s resume after suspend reboot loop

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I am running 12.04 with current packages on a Lenovo T420s. I had
previsouly had suspend / resume working properly with 12.04 (and
previously with 11.10) until around the 10th of April. Now I am
  unable to resume after suspending.

Upon opening the lid or pressing the power button the laptop starts to
boot (caps lock and thinklight flash, power button turns on, hard
drive is heard to start), then turns off completely (all lights off).
After about a second it repeats the process. The screen never turns on
/ displays any information. It appears to do this continously until
you hold the power button down for a while or pull the battery. The
  computer then boots normally.

I am booting using UEFI and have both a normal hard drive and a intel
mSATA SSD (310 80GB). The boot device is the SSD.

I'm eager to help diagnose and resolve this issue.
