[Bug 378400] Re: Thinkpad T61p cannot resume from suspend
(Sorry for being harsh here but I am getting increasingly annoyed
because out of the 33 bug reports on the Ubuntu bugtracker which I have
provided information on over the past two years, NONE have been
resolved.)

Title:
Thinkpad T61p cannot resume from suspend
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
I have just installed Kubuntu 9.04 on my Lenovo Thinkpad T61p.
Now suspend to RAM and suspend to disk (hibernate) does not work.
It will suspend, but not wake up. The screen stays black, so I cannot see if it is actually coming up behind it.
This is really a big problem, because it causes data loss for people
who have applications open with unsaved data in it.
PLEASE, do not release versions that will cause users to lose data.
Maybe suspend should be disabled for problematic hardware that will
not wake from suspend. Maybe a warning should be shown if trying to
suspend.
I hope you will make this bug a priority.
