[Bug 1076498] Re: [Lenovo T430s]: System immediately wakes itself up after hitting the sleep key

 

Jeff Marcom, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p linux <replace-with-bug-number>

  [Lenovo T430s]: System immediately wakes itself up after hitting the
  sleep key

Bug description:
  Problem:

  
  The system will attempt to go into a sleep state when hitting the sleep key combo, however after the display goes dark the hard drive light flickers indicating activity and immediately resumes to the desktop without the user hitting the power button.

  Steps to recreate:

  1.) Hit sleep key (Fn+F4)
  2.) Wait for display to disappear
  3.) System immediately resumes

  Expected results

  1.) Hit sleep key (Fn+f4)
  2.) Wait for display to disappear
  3.) wait 5-10 seconds
  4.) Press power button to resume system
