[Bug 1423324] Re: Update firmware for Intel 3160 / 7260 / 7265 / 7265D devices
Normally we wait for fixes to get merged into upstream linux-firmware
before we take them into Ubuntu, and at this point I don't even see that
Intel has sent a merge request for this firmware (though I do see it in
Emmanuel's linux-firmware tree). Of course we can make exceptions
depending on the circumstances, but this bug report lacks any details
about the actual problems being fixed, which will be needed to SRU the
update in any case.
Can you update this bug report's title/description to describe the bug
which the firmware update fixes? I'll also get in touch with Emmanuel to
find out about the status of upstreaming the new firmware. Thanks!

Bug description:
Intel released a re-spin of iwlwifi-XXXX-10.ucode that includes
a bug fix that has a major impact on users.
Both firmware are available right now in our linux-firmware clone [1].
