Title:
ACPI battery code broken with kernel 3.19
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
In Ubuntu 14.04 (Kernel 3.13.*) acpi battery status info worked fine
and presented info in
/sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/
I tested 15.04 (Kernel 3.19.*) and noticed that there isnt any BAT0 in the above said folder anymore. I did some reading at
https://lkml.org/lkml/2014/12/28/94 and came to conlusion that I should do a
sudo modprobe sbs_battery
After that there is a
/sys/class/power_supply/BAT1
which would be nice if only its information was updated at all. But all info read from
/sys/class/power_supply/BAT1/*
will not change - it seems to get updated only once at boot time / first load of the module.
