[Bug 1368761] Re: [Asus X750LN] Touchpad does not work

 

With current HWE and kernel 3.16 there is no need for this workaround.
Altough it just works without gestures, multi touch or any other
advanced features. There is also no settings for TP, for example,
disable touchpad while typing.

Bug description:
  The Touchpad on my Asus X750 does not work.

  WORKAROUND: Find the line that mentions GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX and add the flag:
  sudo nano /etc/default/grub
  GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="i8042.noloop=1 psmouse.proto=bare"

  Then save the file, run a grub update, and restart:
  sudo grub-update
