[Bug 1219174] Re: [Dell Inc. MP061] hibernate/resume failure
I haven't updated BIOS yet, need to find an ms-dos/freedos image to
launch it from :)
I find this has happened to me before (bug 1055753), showing same symptoms (pulse-audio hung), and went away with a newly released kernel before I could bisect the kernel stream to find out what broke it.
As before, it's intermittent -- some hibernate/resume cycles succeed, some don't.
I've added the script from bug 105473 to save/restore /sys/class/thermal/cooling_device*/current_state, as the BIOS changes from my A08 to latest A10 do contain a fix to thermal state restore.
So far (1 cycle) it works again

Title:
[Dell Inc. MP061] hibernate/resume failure
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I haven't yet found any logs detailing failure state.
I've noticed some recent updates to power-handling, which may have invalidated some local hacks to hibernate/resume scripts, causing a me-only breakage.
Or this maybe real issue, affecting others, perhaps only on this Dell MP061 (inspiron 9400)
