Title:
[drm:drm_mode_getfb] *ERROR* invalid framebuffer id
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Whenever I switch from a virtual terminal back to VT7, I see the
following entry in dmesg:
[drm:drm_mode_getfb] *ERROR* invalid framebuffer id
Other than in bug 808384, this comes with no visual or functional
issues*. I'm also getting it with vanilla Linux 3.2.8, however it's
gone since Linux 3.3-rc1. I tracked down the "fix", which just
disables printing the error message:
http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=commit;h=acb4b992d8a13728044f430b47b9199aa45993e9
*) Xorg.0.log shows the following:
[ 76151.269] (II) AIGLX: Suspending AIGLX clients for VT switch
[ 76151.762] (II) Open ACPI successful (/var/run/acpid.socket)

however, in this comment, Bryce Harrington thinks this is probably
harmless: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-
