  kexec linux hangs

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: kexec-tools

  sudo service gdm stop
  wget http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/natty/main/installer-i386/current/images/netboot/ubuntu-installer/i386/linux
  sudo kexec --load linux 
  sudo kexec -e

  On the console I see 
  [300.123] Starting new kernel
  then the box hangs, caps lock light flashing.  

  I tried using netconsole, nothing got logged.
  NETCONSLOGR=192.168.1.20
  echo "start" | netcat -q 1 -u $NETCONSLOGR 6666
  sudo modprobe netconsole netconsole="@/,@$NETCONSLOGR/"
