Nope - trying 3.16.0-34-generic at this moment, none of the bugs I reported 
today vanished by changing kernel. Still audio hardware not supported, neither 
USB/Bluetooth mouse nor external USB HDD recognized.

Bug description:
  I updated my laptop from Kubuntu 14.04 to 14.10 and on to 15.04
  yesterday, got quite soem troubles now, most of which are hardware
  related. This bugreport mentions the problem that my builtin audio
  isn't recognized at all.

  In systemsettings -> Multimedia the only active entry for all types of
  media categories is the dummy device. Neither sound card nor auio
  configuration are listed under 'configure audio hardware'
