[Bug 1447111] Re: X11 server crash when gragging a image or text

Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a
prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v4.0 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

Title:
X11 server crash when gragging a image or text

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
X11 server crash when gragging a image or text when using aurora
  firefox from mozilla.org

If i use the firefox included in ubuntu 14.04, i get no crash.

Still, the X11 should not crash in any application. I'm not sure if
the problem can be related to fglrx, i have to try loading the machine
with the radeon driver to test it
