[Bug 1446410] Re: ubuntu 14.04 does not call iscsistart to login to iscsi boot target
in response to comment #5
This is not a kernel problem but rather a init script problem with initrd not executing `iscsistart` command to login to iscsi boot target. If you read bug description above, you will see there is a workaround by manually running this command on 14.04. I know sles11sp3/rhel6.1 or later are working even though their kernels are older than v4.0.

Title:
ubuntu 14.04 does not call iscsistart to login to iscsi boot target
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
when configured and installed iscsi target for OS boot, boot will fail
after installation and drops out to shell. dhcp doesn't seems to work
neither. User has to run `iscsistart -b` manually to login to iscsi
boot target, type `exit` for OS to continue to boot.
