Title:
Kernel log floods filesystem when capturing from Alsa USB device on
USB3 port (NEC Corporation uPD720200 USB 3.0 Host Controller)

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
When starting alsa capture, the kernel log gets completely flooded (ex: gst-launch alsasrc device=hw:1 ! fakesink) with the following messages:
[ 384.872349] cannot submit datapipe for urb 0, error -22: internal error

Tested kernels are 2.6.32-37-generic-pae up to 2.6.32-41-generic-pae. Here's dmesg when plugging the device for the first time:
[ 45.804249] usb 3-4: new full speed USB device using xhci_hcd and address 0

when typing sudo lsusb -v, similar messages appear:
[ 126.938093] xhci_hcd 0000:03:00.0: WARN: short transfer on control ep
[ 126.945033] xhci_hcd 0000:03:00.0: WARN: short transfer on control ep

  [ 126.962020] xhci_hcd 0000:03:00.0: WARN: Stalled endpoint

Please note that this audio chipset is widely used on mid-range audio
devices (Alesis products, MXL, Sure, Behringer, etc...) so that's not
  a very isolated case.
