Message #11464
[Bug 1219669] Re: [Dell Latitude 3330] fwts high failure: \_SB_.PCI0:_OSC invalid UUID
This error was found during system enablement, however, we haven't
received an updated BIOS that fix this issue.
I find that Dell has a newer BIOS with version A01 posted on their
website: http://ftp.dell.com/published/Pages/latitude-3330-laptop.html
or http://tinyurl.com/q2nry9x
Po-Hsu, could you try this A01 BIOS and let us know if the problem still
exist? Thanks.

Title:
[Dell Latitude 3330] fwts high failure: \_SB_.PCI0:_OSC invalid UUID
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
CID: 201302-12844 Dell Latitude 3330
There is a HIGH Kernel message in FWTS report.
FAILED [HIGH] KlogOscInvalidUuid: Test 1, HIGH Kernel message: [ 0.189087]
\_SB_.PCI0:_OSC invalid UUID
Message repeated 1 times.
ADVICE: The _OSC method indicates it has been passed an invalid UUID, see
section 6.2.10 _OSC (Operating System Capabilities) of the ACPI specification
for more details. Note that it has been observed on some systems that this error
is returned because the _OSC has evaluated incorrectly and it returns with an
incorrect error setting the OSC invalid UUID error bit.
According to alexhung, it might affect the PCI-E hotplug capability.
But I think there is no hotplugable PCI-E device on this system (e.g. ExpressCard)
Distro Release: 12.04.3
Kernel version: 3.8.0-29-generic
