an update to your router's buggy and outdated firmware is available
(Ver.1.0.07). If you update to this does it change anything?

  10ec:8179 wireless network and browser issues

Bug description:
  I have a wireless adaper that constantly drops, only when running
  ubuntu.  Also no matter which browser I use it will arbitrarily max
  out the CPU usage and lock me up at times.  Penalvch told me to
  support a bug and subscribe him(though I have no ide how to do that)
  so that is where I am at.
