Title:
Wifi stops working with "bandwidth change" (Intel Centrino Wireless-N
1030 [Rainbow Peak])
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I have a Dell XPS 15 L502X with Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1030 [Rainbow Peak] running Ubuntu 14.04 (fresh install). Wifi stops working intermittently during active usage and *always* after screen off. Syslog shows this message just before it happens:
kernel: [ 4832.867113] wlan0: AP XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX changed bandwidth, new config is 2412 MHz, width 1 (2412/0 MHz)
This happens regularly. I have tried some tweaks suggested to users facing wifi problems in Ubuntu 14.04. My iwlwifi.conf is this:
# /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf
options iwlwifi bt_coex_active=0 swcrypto=1 11n_disable=8
This does not solve the issue.
