[Bug 1184081] Re: Kernel updated around May 20th gives poor battery life
QT, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity
in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so,
could you please test for this with the latest development release of
Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-
live/current/ .
If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:
apport-collect -p linux <replace-with-bug-number>
** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 1169376
XPS13 backlight stopped working after update 3.8.0-18.28
** Project changed: dell-sputnik => linux (Ubuntu)
** Tags added: needs-kernel-logs needs-upstream-testing

Title:
Kernel updated around May 20th gives poor battery life
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Before the new kernel I could get 5 or 6 hours battery life, now 3 or
4 if I'm lucky.
CPU is about as busy. Could be related to not being able to change
screen brightness.
