[Bug 1449464] Re: Skylake/Cherryview updates to ALSA: hda_intel

 

This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel in -proposed solves
the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the
results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-
vivid' to 'verification-done-vivid'.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will
be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

Bug description:
  The hda_intel driver doesn't currently declare support for powerwell
  on SKL/CHV, and should use i915_bpo specific symbols when trying to
  enable it. To fix this, backport a commit from 4.1

  and add a SAUCE patch to use the correct symbols if on SKL/CHV.
