Title:
Power 8 duplicate drive assignments
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Model Hardware Power 8 8247-22L
Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS installed via MAAS deplyoment to bare metal (OPAL mode).
kernel: 3.16.0-37-generic
It seems that the kernel/system is duplicating the physical drives to
additional drive assignments. In this case, there are 4 physical
drives.
/dev/sda
/dev/sdb
/dev/sdc
/dev/sdd
The problem is, the system is also showing /dev/sde - /dev/sdh. These
drive assignments are associated with the previous /dev/sda - /ev/sdd
in order:
/dev/sda = /dev/sde
/dev/sdb = /dev/sdf
/dev/sdc = /dev/sdg
/dev/sdd = /dev/sdh
Please see attached lshw.txt for details.
