[Bug 1178450] Re: [Lenovo ThinkPad X201 3249] suspend/resume failure

Steve Langasek, as per http://download.lenovo.com/express/ddfm.html an
update is available for your BIOS (1.40). If you update to this, does it
change anything?

If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
  [Lenovo ThinkPad X201 3249] suspend/resume failure

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  This suspend was not intentionally triggered; rather, I undocked my
  laptop and when I *opened* the lid, I heard it suddenly suspending.
  When I hit the power button to get it to unsuspend, it beeped once
  then came up with a black screen and no disk activity.
