[Bug 1457395] Re: Realtek RTS5159 Card Reader not working

I had to install python-apport to be able to run `apport-collect`, this
showed that my previous upgrade failed which was fixed with `dpgk
--configure -a`. This showed that my grub install was also a bit broken
which was also fixed and computer restarted.

Anyway after this one SD card (an adapter for microSD's) is detected
(see latest dmesg at 70 and 209), but my main one that I'll be using
still fails (dmesg at 297).

Title:
Realtek RTS5159 Card Reader not working

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
My SD card reader stopped working a few releases back. This never
bothered me as I rarely used it, but a need has arisen for me to be
using it a lot in the future which leaves me stuck with it not
  working.

  Issue
When I plug a SD card into the reader it does not get mounted and is therefore not displayed in the file manager.

  Expected behavior
It is expected that the card be detected and mounted so that it can be displayed and used via the file manager.

  Extra Information
  - In the attached file, an SD card was plugged in at dmesg time 7344.
  - The lsusb for the device is 'Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0bda:0159 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTS5159 Card Reader Controller'
  - Multiple cards were tested, and they work on another Ubuntu laptop with a card reader.
