I am not sure I understand, what exactly you want.
On the kernels which I have tried so far, I got these results: (bad=the
bug exists as reported here, good= that bug NOT present)
3.13.0-52-generic ---- bad
3.13.0.53-generic ---- bad
3.16.0-37-generic ---- bad
3.16.0.38-generic ---- bad
3.19.0-18-generic ---- good
4.1-rc4 ------------------- good (but wl module did not build)
I am staying with kernel 3.19 for the time being - does not seem to have
severe regressions over the other kernels :-/

Bug description:
This laptop came factory preinstalled with Ubuntu, but due to problems
had been modified. Most recent apport info from a few minutes ago is
here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1456585
dmesg output is added. There is about once every second this activity:
[ 217.650626] [drm:intel_display_power_put] disabling display
[ 217.650632] [drm:hsw_set_power_well] Requesting to disable the power well
[ 217.682626] [drm:intel_display_power_get] enabling display
[ 217.682631] [drm:hsw_set_power_well] Enabling power well
dmesg output after cold boot, login to the desktop, starting the
terminal, and leaving it for a few minutes is attached.
