NaSH, could you please boot into Ubuntu (not Mint) via
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ and advise if this is
reproducible?

If so, could you please execute the following command in the live environment of Ubuntu, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect 1412942

  nvidia graphic card won't wakeup after sleep on Dell inspiron 6400

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  if power management goes this laptop on sleep, then restarting the
  laptop won't wake the graphic card

  if i connect on ssh, i can restart the computer, but even after that,
  the graphic card still not woke up.

  bios is displaying, but loading of ubuntu (or mint here), won't work
  X also, refuse to start
