[Bug 1220616] Re: missing modules in linux-image-3.11.0-4-generic
The -generic kernel has two separate packages: linux-image and linux-
image-extra. I believe the modules you do not see are in the linux-
image-extra package:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/saucy/amd64/linux-image-
extra-3.11.0-4-generic/filelist
The lowlatency kernel only has one package, which is why you see them
all listed together.

Bug description:
please compare the files that are shipped with the two 3.11 kernel packages:
linux-image-3.11.0-4-generic [1] and linux-image-3.11.0-2-lowlatency [2].
linux-image-3.11.0-4-generic is missing 700+ modules which should be
shipped, according to /boot/config-3.11.0-4-generic
