[Bug 1461261] Re: 14.04 linux-generic-lts-vivid but no vivid firmware
I have Intel 7265 wireless in my laptop, and it has no problem with the
firmware being installed in /lib/firmware under vivid. Can you run
'apport-collect 1461261' from the machine you're having trouble with to
attach your machine information and log files?

Bug description:
Hello
Within Ubuntu 14.04 its possible to install the "vivid" kernel, but,
the linux-firmware package is for an older kernel.
schreiner@xps13:~$ modinfo iwlwifi | grep 7265
firmware: iwlwifi-7265D-10.ucode
firmware: iwlwifi-7265-10.ucode
I had to install the vivid linux-firmware package to get the wireless
running again.
Is there a better solution?
Regards Dominik
