Edward Z. Yang, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu
better. As per http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-
netbooks/thinkpad-x-series-tablet-laptops/thinkpad-x61-tablet an update
to your computer's buggy and outdated BIOS is available (1.25). If you
update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate
does it change anything?

If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Title:
  iwl3945 on X61T crashes with Error sending C_POWER_TBL: time out after
  500ms

Bug description:
  After using wireless for some period of time, it stops working. dmesg
  report is attached. Rebooting the machine makes the wireless driver
  work again (for a little bit anyway). I haven't checked if it's
  related to suspend/resume, but I use this a lot. I can try bisecting
  for a kernel which doesn't have this problem, although between when I
  started having problems, I upgraded to Vivid (which didn't fix the
  problem.)
