Title:
Disableing wireless with Fn+key blocks the computer

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid
Status in linux source package in Lucid:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: udev

If I press the key, (when wireless in on and working) the wireless led
goes of, and the screen goes black (with just a white dash and mouse
arrow), and the computer remains completely frozen. After reboot, the
operating system is loading, I hear the login sound, but no desktop.
I succeeded to reboot the machine with Alt+SysRq key combinations. At
reboot the desktop loaded correctly, so I decided to repeat the
action.I enabled and then disabled the wifi with Fn+F2 and I go the
black screen with the following message:

[13.101779] [drm:drm_mode_getfb] *ERROR* invalid framebuffer id
[93.487791] Kernel panic - not suncing: HwThreeWire(): CmdReg: 0XFF REIWE bits are not clear!!
[93.488478] [drm:drm_fb_helper_panic] *ERROR* panic occured, switching back to text console

  Computer is frozen again.

The wireless card works on the system, moreover when I press the same
key combination (Fn+F2) to ENABLE the wifi, everything WORKS as it
should be. The wifi led goes on and I can connect to a wireless
network. When I try to disable it, the black screen comes up with a
white dash and the mouse arrow, and nothing moves.
