Title:
[HP Pavilion a805n] Trackpad not recognized on Perixx Multiboard-716
wireless keyboard w/trackpad
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Recently purchased a wireless keyboard with built-in touchpad
(PERIBOARD-716 mfg'd by Perixx). Touchpad has proper mouse
functionality, but no touchpad-specific features are available (multi-
finger scrolling, etc.). In fact, it appears that it's not even
recognized by the kernel as a trackpad.
I'm reporting this bug as suggested at:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingTouchpadDetection#In_case_Touchpad_features_like_scrolling.2C_tapping.2C_etc_do_not_work_at_all.
I suspect this may be a kernel issue (as cat /proc/bus/input/device
yields nothing specific to the touchpad, and the Mouse control panel
doesn't show a Trackpad tab), but am reporting it here as the wiki
page suggested, as I'm not totally sure this is a kernel issue.
Although I'm running Lucid (lacks true multitouch support), I was
hoping to use a workaround to at least get two finger scrolling. No
dice, it seems.
Attached: output of
cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log
xinput --list
cat /proc/bus/input/devices
Thx
Alex
