[Bug 1455109] Re: Using installed mir it is easy to break the system
I can't "break the system" but using the same test case does now
reliably crash the Mir server. See bug 1473869

Title:
Using installed mir it is easy to break the system
Status in Mir:
Incomplete
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Don't try this if you're not happy to reboot afterwards:
$ sudo mir_demo_server --vt 2 --test-timeout 1 --test-client
mir_demo_client_basic
I find this leaves a zombie server that is trying to exit and that VT
switching is impossible (even after killing the server).
What is "interesting" is that running a locally built version:
$ sudo bin/mir_demo_server --vt 2 --test-timeout 1 --test-client
bin/mir_demo_client_basic
works fine.
I've checked this with both 0.12.1 and 0.13.0 - both have the same
undesirable behaviour when installed.
