Title:
tv card does only run one time, after reboot it isn't detected as a
TV-card any more
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
I've got an TV card from TBS with a Conexant chipset, it is shipped
with a linux driver. The card has the device ID "8920:8888", in the
output of lspci it is shown twice. I wanted to test the card with
Windows XP, but there it doesn't work. So i tried Ubuntu 8.10, but
there isn't the linux-headers-386 package, so I reinstalled 8.04 and
there, the card worked with kaffeine, but not two months ago, when I
tried it with 8.04, too. Very strange. But on friday, it worked after
I installed the driver and restarted the PC. But after rebooting the
PC, the card wasn't detected any more! So now, after two months I know
that the card works with my LNB (it's a DVB-S card), but after
rebooting, I think there is a kernel module left :(. Please help me,
on sunday I want to record Star Wars II ;-).
P.S.:Sry for my bad english...
