I've installed the kernel 4.2.0-040200rc6 and the problem disappeared:
- no icmp packets are dropped,
- dmesg does not report any dirty stuff related with rtl8821ae-0.

What I did:
$ sudo dpkg -i linux-headers-4.2.0-040200rc6_4.2.0-040200rc6.201508092028_all.deb linux-headers-4.2.0-040200rc6-generic_4.2.0-040200rc6.201508092028_amd64.deb linux-image-4.2.0-040200rc6-generic_4.2.0-040200rc6.201508092028_amd64.deb
$ sudo reboot
$ uname -a
Linux lapkra 4.2.0-040200rc6-generic #201508092028 SMP Sun Aug 9 20:29:59 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
$ dmesg > dmesg_4.2.0-040200rc6-generic.txt

  Hello,
  
  The problem occurs at Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and Asus R510L notebook with RTL8821ae driver. Wifi has the following problems:
  - Wifi periodically disconnects and stops working - system reboot needed,
  - Around 10-20% of ping packages is dropped,
  - dmesg reports a  lot of stuff with rtl8821ae-0.
  
  The above were tested while connecting with Asus,TPlink and Linksys
  Access Points.
