[Bug 1485593] Re: My touchpad is not working.
yes998, as per http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers an update to
your computer's buggy and outdated BIOS is available (1.13). If you
update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate
does it change anything?
If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. As well, you don't
have to create a new bug report.

Bug description:
Installed Ubuntu 14 and 15 on same laptop and both versions seems like
they did not detect my touchpad. I am currently using Ubuntu 14. USB
Wireless mouse works when plugged in.
Laptop model: Acer Aspire E 11 ES1-111-C53P
Touchpad Manufacturer: Synaptics
When Symptom first appeared: At the start of the installation of Ubuntu 14 or 15.
