Title:
Touchpad tap-event support broken since kernel 3.19.0-25
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Release: Ubuntu 15.04
Hardware: Logitech TK820 wireless keyboard with touchpad
I've been using the said hardware with ubuntu in all releases since
13.10 without problems. All touchpad features were working fine until
I received in 15.04 the automatic update to kernel version 3.19.0-22.
This kernel introduced a condition in which, at times, the system
started randomly registering keyboard input when pointing with the
touchpad.
The original bug got apparently fixed in kernel version 3.19.0-25, but
as a result this kernel version broke completely all tap-events for my
touchpad. They are not registering at all. Pointing and scrolling
work, so do the mechanical click-switches in the corners, but tapping
or sweeping with one or more fingers does not get registered even
though the settings were never touched. I now got kernel update to
3.19.0-26, but the bug persists in this version, too.
At the moment I had to revert back to kernel version 3.19.0-16 in
order to be able to use my touchpad normally.
