Title:
package linux-image-extra-3.13.0-54-generic 3.13.0-54.91 failed to
install/upgrade: run-parts: /etc/kernel/postinst.d/initramfs-tools
exited with return code 1
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
>My /boot partition is full because it contains partially installed versions of linux. I have been using
== sudo apt-get update ;
== sudo-apt-get upgrade .
>Those need to be updated to delete old versions of Linux when installing a new one. At least they could ask the user what to do. In the future I will use:
== sudo apt-get autoclean
== sudo apt-get clean
== sudo apt-get autoremove
== sudo apt-get update
== sudo apt-get upgrade -f
== sudo apt-get autoclean
== sudo apt-get clean
== sudo apt-get autoremove
>In the meantime, I cannot install new software that uses the /boot partition. Linux isn't ready for prime time. It shoots itself in the foot.
