Title:
Alsamixer doesn't show "Line in".
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I re-installed Ubuntu, and I found that "line in" from the sound card
wouldn't play. I use my PC for TV audio: TV audio out in PC sound card
in, and it plays. But, like when I installed Ubuntu a couple of years
ago, that doesn't work by default.
I started Alsamixer in a shell, but that doesn't have a control for
"line in". The sound panel doesn't help either. As it turns out, found
that on a forum, you need to install gnome-alsamixer. That does have a
control for "Line" which you can unmute, and have sound.
I think this is a bug. Alsamixer should have the same features as
gnome-alsamixer, in Unity you shouldn't need a gnome feature.
I have Ubuntu 15.04, with the latest updates. I have an MSI X99S
Xpower AC motherboard with integrated intel audio.
version:Ubuntu 3.19.0-30.33-generic 3.19.8-ckt6
