[Bug 196843] Re: Sony Vaio VGN-NR220E wireless card (Atheros 242x) doesn't work

 

Official support for Ubuntu 9.04 "Jaunty Jackalope" has ended.  If this
issue is still occurring on Ubuntu 15.04 "Vivid Vervet" please run
ubuntu-bug to file a new bug report so that we can get a fresh set of
log files and system information.

Bug description:
  lspci recognizes my wireless card. The led on the front of my computer
  does not work.  iwconfig cannot see any wireless extension. So even
  though the card is recognized on the lspci, I still cannot get any
  wireless.
