Title:
kernel crash at veth interface shutdown (net_carrier_off)
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
When destroying a veth interface when both members of the veth pair
are up, a kernel bug is triggered.
How to reproduce:
ip link add type veth
ip link set veth0 up
ip link set veth1 up
ip link del veth0
I've uploaded the kernel log to
https://gist.github.com/jpetazzo/6190928.
In some cases, it completely locks up the machine. For instance, when
a LXC ocntainer is stopped, the bug happens, but the machine is then
frozen (no console, no reply to ping). I've uploaded the corresponding
kernel log to https://gist.github.com/jpetazzo/6190908.
