actively developing a patch for this, and will be releasing the code fix
upstream imminently. Is this issue something you can reproduce and will

  Function keys will not adjust brightness

  I have just installed Ubuntu 14.04, and I cannot make the function
  keys adjust the brightness.  I have been trying to get a solution to
  the problem in this forum
