[Bug 1504237] [NEW] Serial port ttyS0 not working after automatic kernel upgrade
Public bug reported:
After automatic upgrades on four machines the serial port stopped working
I did "apt-get purge linux-image-3.13.0-65-generic" and the serial port is functional again
All of them were working OK on:
Linux version 3.13.0-63-generic (buildd@lgw01-18) (gcc version 4.8.2 (Ubuntu 4.8.2-19ubuntu1) ) #103-Ubuntu SMP Fri Aug 14 21:42:59 UTC 2015 (Ubuntu 3.13.0-63.103-generic 3.13.11-ckt25)
And failed after the automatic install of:
Linux version 3.13.0-65-generic (buildd@lgw01-55) (gcc version 4.8.2 (Ubuntu 4.8.2-19ubuntu1) ) #105-Ubuntu SMP Mon Sep 21 18:50:58 UTC 2015 (Ubuntu 3.13.0-65.105-generic 3.13.11-ckt26)
The ports are used by a KVM VM via TCP using socat and on two different
motherboards/CPUs
