[Bug 1509664] Re: Samba shares unavailable after suspend

rpgmaker, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.

There is correlation to the nemo file manager, so let this be chased up
from that direction first.

To clarify, if you switch to the default nautilus file manager, is this
problem still reproducible?

** Package changed: linux (Ubuntu) => nemo (Ubuntu)

** Changed in: nemo (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided => Medium

** Changed in: nemo (Ubuntu)

Title:
  Samba shares unavailable after suspend

Status in nemo package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I have noticed that after I suspend my laptop and wake it up again the
samba shares aren't available, sometimes they may be available after
an unespecific long time but most times, when I really need to access
the shares, I just restart the laptop and the shares are then made
available again. The samba server is a NAS that is on at all times.
  I'm on ubuntu 14.04 on a Dell Inspiron 14z n411z.

What I do sometimes to accelerate the process of the shares appearing
is to kill and start again the filemanager. It doesn't always works or
it may just give me the ilusion of working but the results aren't
deterministic (sometimes after executing 'nemo -q' several times the
shares may appear again but maybe they were going to appear anyways
without issuing the command). This is a really annoying bug.
