Title:
  Suspend does not work anymore

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
On my Acer Aspire 5750G I've always been able to just close the lid
and it went into suspension. Since a few days this does not work
anymore. The screen turns off but the laptop does not go into
suspension. I haven't changed any settings and also checked the
settings in power-manager. Only thing I changed was switching from a
proprietary NVIDIA driver to the open source driver because the
proprietary driver does not work right on my system.

Another guess is that this bug might have something to do with the
last update of gnome-power-manager because I haven't noticed this
  problem before.

The update of gnome-power-manager and switching the graphics driver
took place at about the same time so I cannot really tell if any of
these two actions is connected to this problem.

Please let me know if you need any further information.
