[Bug 1510789] Re: No sound card detected

Nicolae Istratii, as per http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice
/HP-Spectre-13-4000-x360-Convertible-PC/7527520/model/8082197 an update
to your computer's buggy and outdated BIOS is available (F.2C). If you
update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate
does it change anything?

If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette
.

Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. As well, you don't
have to create a new bug report.

Once the BIOS is updated, if the problem is still reproducible, and the
information above is provided, then please mark this report Status
Confirmed. Otherwise, please mark this as Invalid.

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
  No sound card detected

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  lsb_release -rd
  Description:	Ubuntu 15.10
  Release:	15.10

  apt-cache policy linux-image-generic
  linux-image-generic:
    Installed: 4.2.0.17.19
    Candidate: 4.2.0.17.19
    Version table:
   *** 4.2.0.17.19 0
          500 http://mirror.as43289.net/ubuntu/ wily-proposed/main amd64 Packages
          100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
       4.2.0.16.18 0
          500 http://mirror.as43289.net/ubuntu/ wily/main amd64 Packages

  I expect the sound card to be detected without additional modification of boot options.
  The sound card is not detected unless the following line in /etc/default/grub is adjusted to look so
  GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi_osi='!Windows 2013' acpi_osi='!Windows 2012'"
  and the system is rebooted twice after booting to windows.
