[Bug 1513930] [NEW] linux-firmware breaks support for Lenovo Z580

Public bug reported:

The latest update (2015.11.06) for Ubuntu 15.10 linux-firmware breaks
support for the Lenovo Z580 laptop. USB devices stop being recognized
and the network card/chipset cease functioning, preventing you from
getting online. I've had to reinstall Ubuntu 15.04 in order to get back
to a working state, and will no longer consider upgrading to 15.10 again
until I am forced to do so by the 15.04 EOL.

** Affects: linux-firmware (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
