Hi Joseph,
I deinstalled my broadcom wireless driver to test how reinstalling will 
go and was surprised to find my wireless now working flawlessly with 
bcma-pci-bridge.
I wlll now wait for the freeze to reoccur in this configuration and test 
a newer kernel if it does.

  System freeze

  System freezes at random occasions with no recovery (tried ctrl alt F1, ctrl alt t, etc.) 
  No traces in the syslog.
  Fans keep running so system seems to be under load.
