[Bug 1513886] Re: Decreased battery life after upgrade.
Daniel Holm, as per http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/content/cnt-
dwnl/SVP1321M2E/list an update to your computer's buggy and outdated
BIOS is available (R1044V7). If you update to this following
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate does it address the issue?
If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette
.
Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful.
Also, you don't have to create a new bug report.
Once the BIOS is updated, if the problem is still reproducible, and the
information above is provided, then please mark this report Status
Confirmed. Otherwise, please mark this as Invalid.
Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
Decreased battery life after upgrade.
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Hi,
In Ubuntu 15.04 I had around 7-8 hours of battery life but after
upgrade I got half. Why? Maybe not the right package, but I don't know
what else than the kernel. If wrong please change.
I use lmt for increased battery life, and it is still installed (even
reinstalled and I also tried ltp instead, but no change).
Disabling intel p state turbo does no change. I dont really have any
processes ruining it and it even says 4 hours after first boot.
The battery ost 5% just while I submitted this bug report.
