[Bug 1133089] Re: 1022:7806 [Asus X401U] MMC cards intermittently work in the card reader

It appears no one cared to update this after I tried handing it off. I
no longer have access to this hardware, nor am I on the PES Cert team,
so I'm marking it as won't fix.

** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
       Status: Incomplete => Won't Fix

Title:
1022:7806 [Asus X401U] MMC cards intermittently work in the card
  reader

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
Testing this machine with 12.04.2 and the MMC function of the card
reader is spotty at best with a known working card (card has been
proven in many machines over the last week to work fine).

dmesg output shows the following on most attempts to insert an MMC card:
[ 1901.514830] mmc0: Got data interrupt 0x02000000 even though no data operation was in progress.
[ 1911.513733] mmc0: Timeout waiting for hardware interrupt.
[ 1911.513940] mmc0: Got data interrupt 0x02000000 even though no data operation was in progress.
[ 1921.522723] mmc0: Timeout waiting for hardware interrupt.
[ 1921.522921] mmc0: Got data interrupt 0x02000000 even though no data operation was in progress.
[ 1931.531902] mmc0: Timeout waiting for hardware interrupt.
[ 1931.532042] mmc0: Got data interrupt 0x02000000 even though no data operation was in progress.
  [ 1935.035968] mmc0: Card removed during transfer!
  [ 1935.035984] mmc0: Resetting controller.
  [ 1935.036069] mmc0: error -123 whilst initialising MMC card

This does not occur with SD and SDHC that I can tell, but with MMC,
the odds are about even that the card will or will not be seen and
  mounted on insert.
